Stunning. Nice drive. A few good hikes. Some a bit intense....
Oh yeah, the views make it worth the efforts
Great hike featuring lots of views of the canyons.
The hiking is moderate. My girlfriend did it with one arm in a sling but it was a little effort. Bring at least a gallon of water for two people. The end of the trail makes it all worth it.
We took almost 3.5 hours which included stopping at the cliff view for a 20 mins break since we had reception there. Obviously we had to check in on facebook and play game a little. And another 15 mins break when we got to the fall.
I would classify this hike as moderate with about 800 feet in elevation gain/lose. Some part was slippery if you don't have good hiking shoes. A guy had to be rescue, possibly airlift out because he slipped and may have broken his ankle. When we were leaving, helicopter was flying in and 3 fire fighters we're heading down hill to get him.
2 images from runkeeper that showed the trail. I forgot to run it until we were at the Cliff trail and Canyon trail fork.
Great hike with kids. Didn't go all the way because we had a 1 year old but we made it to the lookout.
Sign at trailhead was a bit confusing. We are not avid hikers so when we see 1.8 miles that will take 2-3 hours we didn't know what that mean. After the hike we gather that it was 1.8 mile each way and would take a total of 2-3 hours.
Bring water! It was a cool day when we went so we brought 1 liter per person and we were in danger of running out.
