We arrived on a Saturday afternoon about 2:30 p.m. The inside is very small and we had to wait a good 15 minutes before we could order as they stopped taking orders for a bit because it was so busy. We didn't mind the wait though. The inside of the little restaurant was decorated with cool pictures, the staff was very friendly and apologetic about the wait, the menu was pretty wide considering they only have burgers and tacos. They also have a shake and dole whip selection. We ordered the market fish tacos island style and the pieces of fish were quite generous. We also had the bacon cheeseburger but I must say it was just average. The chips were made to order and the salsa was fresh and mild. Very tasty lunch. Price of tacos was pretty steep but it was market fresh so to be expected. Bonus: there is a Hawaiian shaved ice & ice cream spot on the other side. Great shaved ice!
Worth going out of your way. Fish tacos are great, done with whatever is fresh that day. Staff is friendly. It's kinda weirdly setup, with both take out and dine in. The atmosphere is island casual, with bench tables and random nick nacks for sale. Make sure to try their own taco sauce, it's delicious.
Despite good reviews, this was our first visit and sadly out last. Staff at restaurant front end were very disorganized and genuinely disinterested in serving ‘non locals’.
Wonderful out of the way spot. Not in the most scenic location but we'll worth the visit. Great food in a quaint little place. The staff were the friendliest people you will find and the service made you feel like a life long friend. The double cheeseburger was absolutely prefect and the pork tacos were incredibly tasty. The price was reasonable compared to other places on the island. We will be returning on our stay to tryout some of the other food on the menu.
This place is perfect. For starters, the food is incredibly flavorful. I had the poke burger and cannot recommend it highly enough! The fish is caught fresh in HI and it tastes like it. Next, the staff could not be warmer. As a visitor to this island paradise, my family and I felt right at home. We were checked on at least three times, fountain drinks refilled, and they were even able to accommodate us when we were trying to heat a bottle for our baby! It is clear this is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, and it's not hard to see why. We will be returning soon!
Asked when we could be seated, in an empty restaurant, was told ten minutes. Came back with my party and was then told 20 min. When I asked why, her response was “are you in a hurry, sir?, go into the kitchen and ask the chef yourself.” Then we sat and sat and never took our order; only to find out we had to be at the back of the line to order after we were first in the restaurant. How about some pleasant instructions on how our restaurant works. Don’t recommend this restaurant. Should really appreciate your customers better.
