Just had an amazing dinner. The mai tai's and the calamari is delicious. Had the linguini with prawns and scallops, highly recommend. Shannon was a very personable, helpful waiter too.
We were looking forward to having a good lunch. I looked at website of many restaurants for an hour and chose this restaurant. Actually I wasted the time. The rude waiter ruined my lunch. He didn’ have any smile and serving incorrectly. I ordered oysters but they were so small. Wasted the money and the time!
We took a small group of friends to this restaurant and had a very enjoyable and lovely meal. Service was superb, the food was delightful. Prices are very good for this Hawaiian resort location. I had the special - Sword Fish that was perfectly cooked - just slightly pink in the center. Others had Steak, Beef Stew and Seafood Dishes - all plates were sent back empty.
Had a dinner reservation, showed up on time and no table really was set up for a party our size (5)...an odd start. Were asked if we wanted inside or outside, it was windy so we said inside (there were only three tables seated before us TOTAL inside + outside). We for some reason had the bartender assigned to our table even though there were four other capable (and unoccupied) wait staff. Ok fine again whatever maybe it was going to be a slow night for them. WRONG! The place filled up fast, bartender/our waiter got very busy very quickly so couldn't keep up with coming to check on our table often from behind the bar. Food took over an hour to receive after placing the order with bartender/waiter so kitchen was either really slow or totally disorganized. After that long of a wait we hoped for perfect delicious food. NOPE! Well done very overcooked pork (too bad too because the cuts were beautiful and aged). Manager had to be asked for (she was busy bussing empty tables). At least she apologized AFTER we told her about the disappointing wait, overcooked pork, and that the sides didn't even come out at the same time as the cooked food (ummm potato salad probably preprepped just needs to be scooped right?). To her credit she did voluntarily discount the meal, but we really hope that management has learned from this and will NOT in future assign the poor bartender a table he cannot hope to service while keeping up with a full house of drink orders coming in. Or at the very least, create a team environment because not a single other server helped him serve or clear our table (until we asked the manager /table busser to just finish clearing our dishes after she finished bussing a completely empty table). Been in the industry a long time and have never sensed a more tense environment from the staff, nor a more disorganized long wait time for a meal. Too bad it's in a touristy location or maybe repeat customer issues would teach them a lesson.
We were there for dinner on Christmas Holidays. The food was mediocre and the volume was very small. They only served a tiny bread for starter and asked for more we were told that there would be extra charges (although they didn't actually charge in the end). Don't recommend it.
