Love this roadside shrimp place. The coconut shrimp is the best. The fries that come with are okay. The mango sauce is so yummy I use it for my fries as well as the shrimp. The beer battery shrimp is also very good if you aren't into coconut. The garlic shrimp has really good flavor, but it's not peeled so prepare to get your hands messy.
Totally not impressed. We ordered a spicy shrimp plate and it was ok. The sauce was good but the portion was so small, 10 shrimps and 2 scoops of rice for $12.95? Felt ripped off.
Was told this was a must stop by the place we were staying for having the best coconut shrimp on the island.
Awful staff, out of most of their options, and the cajun shrimp tasted like they cooked it in a garbage can. It also made me extremely sick afterwards, I'm assuming the shrimp was undercooked by the 15 year olds in the kitchen. Would not recommend.
Not sure why this is rated so well. I think the portions were overpriced. $13 per dish. 5 of us ate here, we had spicy Thai shrimp with potato, beer battered shrimp with fries and shrimp tacos with fries. The fries were marginal, the batter on the shrimp was not great, and the shell was not completely removed. I had the spicy shrimp, the sauce was tasty, but the shrimp was self peel. Very messy and no place to wash hands. The dining area is off putting. Run down, dirty and inundated with chickens and roosters raiding the garbage 3 feet away. They need to keep the garbage out of reach and increase the hygiene by a wide margin.
Unfortunately I think the hype left more to be desired. Go in with mild expectations and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
I would say the coconut shrimp was good, not the best I’ve ever had, but good. Do not, I repeat, do not get the fish and chips. They were flavorless and just greasy.
