The dinner at the Ranch was amazing. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was delicious!
I attended a wedding at this location in late July. It truly is a very special place on the island. It was amazing views of the entire coastline. I would highly recommend to rent out for any private party or event.
We went to the Wednesday dinner, show, and activity on our own (not on the bus). When we arrived, we spent the time waiting for the bus guests by visiting with some of the horses. John Richards introduced himself when all of the guests arrived, and told us about the history and operations of the ranch. We then found our tables and scooped up our country dinner from the buffet. There was lettuce and tomato salad with 3 types of dressing, rolls with butter, mashed potatoes, baked beans, corn, barbecued chicken and steak followed by mac nut pie. For those who imbibe, the drinks flowed freely (hence the bus). We had only soft drinks, hot chocolate and coffee. The country music singer was top notch--only he was a little bit too amplified, as is way too common in performance venues. So the conversations with the folks sitting next to us were stifled, taking away some of the pleasure of the evening. Not wanting to stay out too late, we left just as the after-dinner activities were beginning, so can't judge all of them. Also, the weather was cloudy and misty enough so that the telescope was not expected to come out.
My son's wedding was simply gorgeous. Kahua Ranch is stunning at sunset. The venue has several options , even if it rains. The simple, rustic charm of the buildings against the natural beauty of their ranch is a winning combination. ...all our relatives from near and far raved about the beauty of the area and ranch. The sites were so amazing on this tour. The guides were very friendly and the horses were very compliant. My fiance and I had a wonderful time and we really enjoyed the conversations throughout the tour with the guides. This was an amazing experience and we'd recommend it to anyone.
