By far this is the best poke in Waimea, possibly on Kauai. We went there twice and didn't even begin to taste all they have to offer including the plate lunch and poke bowls. If it is your first time there and a poke novice, so with the basic ahi or even the shoyu ahi. Of course, any poke they serve is excellent. I also recommend the seaweed salad.
Best poke on the island-lots of variety, and relatively cheap too. Recommend trying the taco, besides ahi poke, it's truly pure and delicious.
Deli serving poke and other salads in the back. Counter person very nice and made suggestions/gave samples. Poke was wonderful - best we've had. No indoor seating. Three large picnic tables on street side of the building.
The prices and selection aren't really the best (the Big Save nearby had more competitive pricing and a wider range of food), but the poke from the prepared food section is downright delicious! We tried to go for seconds but it was sold out. The Lonely Planet guidebook was right - there was nowhere else on Kauai where we found better poke.
This is one of my fav markets with a great selection of food and also an amazing deli. It is busy at lunch time on week days. This place has been around for a long time. Culturally a fusion of Asian, Polynesian, and modern food. Very clean market and organized. The staff is comprised of locals and they are friendly.
