It was our first visit and we were there only for a very small special order. The order was processed immediately with courtesy and with care and patience with our questions and concerns. It was one of those experiences where our expectations were not only met but pleasantly exceeded. I would not hesitate to recommend the shop for anyone looking for butcher shop fresh quality clearly a cut above what's available at a regular supermarket.
Real skill and a foodies dream. Dry aged cuts of any type you can imagine. Gorgeous Porter house and beautifully marbled Wagu cuts everywhere too. It made our dinner so delicious and I think even the grill was happy.
This is a much needed addition to the Hawaian culinary scene. This is well crafted local meat done by locals for locals. It is well worth the price to get an island product especially one from our island. Most of our locally raised meats go on an unfathomable journey to reach their final destination frozen and hardly the same product as when it left. Thank you Mills for allowing us to eat an amazing product that lives and prospers on our shores.
There are not many butcher shops like this anywhere on earth. The close collaboration with local farmers enable this gem to offer you the best of meats in broad variety from happy animals. The burger meat is coarseground and fatty giving you juice and tasty sliders, the wild pork is similar to Spanish bellota and so tasty, sausages are artisinal and have great flavour and texture, the 60 day dry-aged beef would be usda super prime if the rating system concerned taste and animal well-being.
Love this place! Big Island raised meats, house made charcuterie, and local produce. They have little cards with best cooking practices so you can get the best steak each time :) You might get lucky and meet a rancher there as well!
