Incredible beach with amazing views! The beach is magical and well worth the drive out. The road is a bit tough (we rented a Ford Focus and drove it in dry conditions) but we were able to make it to the beach with no issues.
We found this special beach in 1987 on our honeymoon. While it is a challenge to get to on a gutted dirt road, the beach is worth the effort. The mountains meet the beach in a majestic and unforgettable way. We have come back to this beach several times in the ensuing years to relive the beautiful experience we so fond remember.
If you are on the island of Kauai, this is a must destination. Especially at sunset. This was one of my family's favorite things we did. 7 mile long Beach with almost no one on it. A few locals and were very nice.
Amazing beach with sweeping cliffs. Be careful if you have a low car as you will get stuck or damage it. If the state charged $5 a car they could easily maintain the road. Careful swimming too....waves a super strong.
Probably the best beach day to be had on the island! Super quiet, great sun, but the sea is rough so don't go close! If you walk along the dunes you can find a natural wind shield to sun bathe in peace too. Careful of the thorns in the sand though. Check out the old tank on the beach too...
